Weekday Activities

JAM Youth is a program for anyone in Years 6-9 at school. Events and activities are generally held on Friday nights fortnightly.

We also run JAM+ during school terms alongside the Sunday morning church service. Pancakes, milkshakes, and discussion relevant to life. Runs 9:30-10:30am.

BOURNE Youth is for young people in high school, years 9-12. It happens every second Friday night of the school term, and runs from 7-9 pm.

Check out our website at BourneYouth.com.au

KIDS LIFE

Look out for our ‘Day Camp,’ childrens holiday program which had over 120 kids attending in 2010

LIFE GROUPS are a chance to do life together with others your age. These groups will have a key focus on supporting you whatever you go through in life, and on helping you to grow into all God made you to be.

CRAFT classes are held on Thursday mornings in school terms 9.30am to 12noon.

We have more than 300 people attending Thursday Craft, many are mums, some are men, but most of all, they are people looking to share or develop their skills.

There are facilities for young children.

PLAYGROUP is held in the church hall on Wednesday mornings from 10.00 to 11.30am during school terms.

This is a great opportunity for new (and not so new) mums and dads to share and learn how to give your children the best fun/learning/playing experience. Don't miss out!

KEEP FIT classes are held in the church hall on Monday evenings at 7pm and on Friday mornings at 9.15am during school terms.

The classes are run by a qualified physiotherapist and fitness instructor,
Deb Harrison, for approximately one hour.

NETBALL is played competitively through the United Churches competition.

Westbourne Park Uniting Church has teams at all levels who play on Saturday afternoons. Boys are welcome in the junior teams.

Mission

UGANDA AUSTRALIA CHRISTIAN OUTREACH

Uganda Australia Christian Outreach has established a Primary Health Clinic in the slum suburb of Najjanankumbi in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa. It has developed programs of care for: Widows and orphans, Immunisation, Education and training, Youth Groups, Walking Clinics, HIV/ AIDS Services and Refugees.

The latest UACO newsletter is available through the new UACO web site.

SOUP RUN

Westbourne Park Uniting Church has been involved with the Salvation Army’s 'Soup Run' for many years.

Once a month volunteers meet at the 'Salvos' headquarters to prepare the food.
We then go to a park on Gawler Place in the city to serve anyone who comes for a meal. Each month we see a different group of people, from the long term homeless, to those who have some place to stay but need a meal, and mums and kids to itinerant workers just arrived in town. During winter we try to supply some blankets and beanies.

THE FAR EAST BROADCASTING COMPANY is a non denominational organisation with people sharing their love of Christ to millions by radio in a real and practical way.

Radio knows no boundaries and is able to take Christ’s love into places where missionaries cannot go. FEBC focuses on meeting the spiritual needs of listeners with a particular outreach to the “forgotten people” of the world. Sometimes this is the only contact they have with the outside world.

Currently, each and every day FEBC transmits in 160 distinct languages from 40 FEBC owned stations and from another 53 transmitters where they buy time. They produce 640 programme hours / day.

Contact the Church Office on 8271 7066 for more information and how you can get involved.

NATIONAL DAY OF THANKSGIVING

The National Day of Thanksgiving is a unique opportunity for Australians to celebrate and give thanks for our God given heritage as a nation and to demonstrate the God given values of honour, respect, thankfulness and gratitude towards our fellow man that have made us the great nation we are.

It is a day for us to pause as a nation and say thank you to God and to each other for those many things we often take for granted but which really make our lives worth living.  Let us use this day to be a blessing to those who have been a blessing to us during the past year.

THE NATIONAL DAY OF THANKSGIVING  -  AN OPPORTUNITY NOT AN EVENT!
